UPDATE
TeePup's surgery was done on Thursday, August 24th and she is doing fine. It is hard to keep her down as the doctors said to do. I have literally held her since the surgery to keep her quiet. If I put her down she panics. The Doctors seem to think that this will go away in a little time. We are hoping that diagnoses is right...lol Here is TeePup and me at the computer she is in a carrier around my neck where she spends most of her day....
Her surgery was a success and the doctors say that after her recovery from the operation she should be able to lead a normal life. She will go back to the doctor to get her stitches out on September 5th.
I forgot to take my camera with me and had to purchase one there that had to use film so the pictures will be a little late. They should be in Thursday or Friday and I will scan them and get them up so you can see Tee Pup's doctors.
This adorable little rescue Maltese has PDA(Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) - With PDA the vessel fails to close completely and therefore some blood continues to bypass the lungs. The circulatory system cannot keep up with the animals oxygen needs) She was taken to Texas A&M to confirm that she needs surgery.
Her mom couldn't afford to get her the help she needed and also has to be away from home so much that she could not be there one on one for her care so she made the heart breaking decision to send her to rescue. Her surgery expense will be a minimum 1500.00 plus tests and hospital stay. Her ultrasounds and check up were 250.00 so far. We would appreciate any donations to help with her expense. Please send donations to :
