""Belle"

Do you believe in Prayer ? Well if you didn't before you should now. These are the newest pictures of Bell who was almost gone with Cushings. With the love and care from Jean Ensor and the prayers from you, Bell has overcome Cushings. She began to improve shortly after we put her picture on the website asking for prayers for her, and just look at her now !

Jean Ensor writes: "This is Belle who is in the Special Dogs section on our website. After the photo onthe site she continued to lose hair until it was extermely thin and wispy and she looked pink instead of white. Her tail was completely bald. In Feb 2000 she began growing hair and now is more beautiful than before. All apparent symptoms of her Cushing's Syndrome are gone. So far no one can explain why she is better but I am so glad she is."

""Belle"

Belle is a 5 - 6 year old Maltese with Cushing's syndrome. She failed a course of Anipryl and due to her traumatic life in a puppy mill we have chosen not to traumatize her further with harsh therapies. She is very sweet. Still somewhat afraid to be held but follows me all over. She seems happy and comfortable here and since her condition is not getting better and some days are tough for her, I have decided that trying to place her in a home would be too traumatic for her and an adoptive family. She will stay with me until she makes the journey over the Rainbow Bridge.

Jean notified me today that Belle is not getting better but is getting a little worse. She has asked that I pull her from the adoptable dogs page as she will keep her for what time she has left. Jean is a very special lady who now has many such babies in her care. She never asks for help so I want to ask for her.
