It is sad but there are many sites now scamming people for money who are not legitamate rescues and ask for money, not for our furry friends, but for their own gain. There are ways to verify that we are not a scam and I hope you take the time to do so to feel sure that your donations are going to help our friends in need. 1)Go to the Google Search Engine and type in "maltese rescue texas" and you will see our names (National Maltese and Small Dog Rescue Alliance and SouthEast Texas Maltese Rescue) come up many times. You can contact the owners of those sites and get references on our rescue. 2)You can also check with the local rescues where we are located which would be Lifeforce in Beaumont (Ask for Kathy, the President and controlling officer),and the Humane Society in Beaumont (ask for Anne Reynolds the president of the board and controlling officer) 3) Check with the area vets in Beaumont, Dr. Falgout, Dr. Granger, Dr. Schneider, Dr. Jeff Toman and Dr. Wilcox in Groves,Texas all own different vet offices and all can verify who I am. 4) Email us or write to us for personal references, adoptive references, etc. We will be glad to send you whatever you need to verify that we are who we say we are. You are right to worry about scammers as they are working the internet but we are not one. Every dime you send, every material item you send goes to helping rescue animals in need.
