Murphy

Murphy currently lives in Spring, TX. Murphy is a 5 year old Maltese, neutered, 12 pounds (not overweight according to his vet) and is up to date on all vaccinations, Sentinel (always heart worm neg) and is microchipped. He is 9.5 inches from shoulder to floor.

He is a sweet dog and we think he would love being the center of attention in a home without any other dogs. He gets along well with other dogs and cats though. I am attaching a picture his foster mom sent but she said she would send more as she has ton of pictures of him on her other computer, so watch for more.

Murphy probably either lived in several homes or the home he was in was too busy to give him much time and kept him in a crate most of the time. Thus his fear of a crate and lack of bonding.

Murphy is a 5 year old male Maltese that was given to his current home by a neighbor of a friend of her mother's. He eats "Taste of the Wild" high prairie formula dry dog food. It is not easy to find (she get it at a local feed store) and it is not cheap but I'm sure he would adapt just fine to another dog food. His previous owner fed him canned Hill's.

His previous owner was a single mom of 2 teenagers and said that they were not spending enough time with Murphy and she felt like he needed a new home. She went over to see him in his environment and he seemed like he would fit into their household. She told them he was kennel trained. She promptly dropped him off at her house with his bedding, clothes, expensive dog food and papers--never to be seen again. She found out several months later that this woman acquired 2 more Maltese puppies after she gave him to her. He is papered but has never been registered.

She would like to find a home where he would be the only child and get all the attention he deserves.
