Garbo

Garbo flew from New York City to us in full seizures after having a spinal injury from the family's Golden Retrievers. She was only 5 months old and her little body just wouldn't work. Paralyzed on one side she could only lay, but looking into those eyes I saw a sparkle that said she had a lot of life left if we could only help her.

After months of therapy and love Garbo regained her facilities, though a little shaky, she was a normal girl in our eyes. Her life was cut short when a blood clot claimed her just after her 3rd birthday.

After her accident, the vets said that Garbo had no chance of a productive life and she needed to be put down, but they did tell her of us and she flew her here. ... If they only knew the life she had, though short, and the love and encouragement she gave to all those who were lucky enough to meet her.

I still cry when I think of her, I am crying now as I write this many many years later, she was an important part of my daily living and I miss her ....

Garbo left me in body but not in Spirit. Garbo, I love you and miss you every day ... your mom, Marsha
